You only have to be around Amanda Blanck for a couple moments to feel the positive energy that radiates from her personality. As Managing Partner at Deviate, LLC, she uses that natural spark to transform the lives of her clients, encouraging them to trade mediocre results for peak performance by getting “off track … on purpose.”

A graduate of Washington State University, Amanda has used her degree in Communications coupled with her infections zeal for life to inspire teams at Lululemon Athletica and spread the magic of happiness at The Color Run. But it was her latest adventure, Deviate, that led her and her husband, Ryan Blanck, the Founder and CEO of Deviate, to Nashville, where they now make their home.

“We picked Nashville because it fits our values,” says Amanda. “It’s so friendly here. And the cost of living is affordable without sacrificing style. Also, as a business owner, the diverse economic portfolio is ideal for a growing company like ours.”

Now that they’re settled, Amanda, who holds a coaching certification from Coach U as well as numerous fitness and wellness certifications, couldn’t be more excited to help people understand just what they do at Deviate, which she admits is perhaps the hardest part of her job. “Executive coaching everyone gets. But we do so much more than that and it’s hard to help people relate to the value that’s there,” shares Amanda.

And Deviate is more than that. It was bred out of a burning desire to deviate from life’s predictable path and take on the challenge of “what if.” The solutions explore how different the outcomes would be if the chains of outdated policies and procedures are revamped and permission is granted to pursue true purpose with confidence and boldness.

Ultimately, Deviate is a performance improvement consultancy. But unlike over consultancies, Deviate takes the focus off the inefficiencies of the systems within an organization, and places it on the people within that organization. “We look at the personalities and the culture, then look for ways to expand those personalities from within – through workshops, retreats, and coaching – thereby enabling them to take a better approach to the systems and work responsibilities they’re tasked with. We really work to align their personal passions with their abilities so that they can achieve peak performance, not only at work, but in life. “

And now that Deviate has been disrupting conventional thinking for over five years now, Amanda has this lesson to share. “Be encouraged. It takes time to do things. You have to be realistic about how fast you can build out your business.”
