Record-Breaking Attendance at Annual Luncheon Recognizes Women Business Owners
NASHVILLE, Tenn., — August 26, 2015 — The National Association of Women Business Owners, Nashville Chapter, the premiere organization for women business owners to connect, announces the award winners for its Second Annual Celebrating Women of Music City Awards, presented by Nationwide Insurance. NAWBO Nashville celebrated the achievements of women business owners with a sold out crowd of 95 attendees at its luncheon today at the Woman’s Club of Nashville, located in Green Hills. “We’re thrilled to honor all of our inspiring nominees and award winners today,” said NAWBO Nashville President, Jacqueline Hayes. “We congratulate our Corporate Partner of the Year, UPS, and our scholarship recipient, Maggie Fincher, an entrepreneurship student at Belmont University.” Fifteen women were nominated in six individual categories for their outstanding contributions in business and community in Middle Tennessee. The 2015 NAWBO Nashville Celebrating Women award winners are:
- Diversity Leader of the Year: Dr. Sybril Brown, Belmont University
- Community Enrichment Award: Donna Drehmann, Listen, Learn, Live
- Emerging Business Leader (under $250,000): Mridu Parikh, Life is Organized
- Emerging Business Leader ($250K – $1M): Erica Rains, The Chef & I
- Emerging Business Leader (over $1M): Elizabeth Moss, Caregivers by WholeCare
- Woman Business Owner of the Year: Kimble Bosworth, Proforma Printelligence
Judges for this year’s awards included digital marketing strategist Dave Delaney, FutureForth; Belmont University’s Center for Entrepreneurship; director Elizabeth Gortmaker; and event and marketing expert Suzannah Green, Forté Foundation. Demetria Kalodimos, WSMV Ch. 4 News anchor, award-winning journalist and business owner of Genuine Human Productions, served as master of ceremonies for the event.
