Nashville NAWBO Announces Recipients of the Inaugural 2014 Celebrating Women of Music City Awards
Nashville NAWBO celebrated the achievements of women in business at the National Association of Women Business Owners, Nashville Chapter, inaugural awards luncheon, Celebrating Women of Music City, presented by Nationwide Insurance, on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. The luncheon was held at the Women’s Club of Nashville, located in Green Hills.
This premier event included the announcement of the 2014 recipients of the Nashville NAWBO Visionary Awards, as well as individuals honored for their achievements in business and community. Nashville NAWBO’s Corporate Partners were also recognized for their unwavering support to the chapter.
The 2014 award recipients were:
- Woman Business Owner of the Year: Lynda F. Jones, Jones Law Group
- Emerging Business Leader (under $250,000): Andrea Farr, Nashville Geek
- Emerging Business Leader ($250K – $1M): Kimble Bosworth, Proforma Printelligence
- Emerging Business Leader (over $1M ): Elizabeth Moss, Caregivers by WholeCare
- Diversity Business Owner of the Year: Alba Gonzalez-Nylander, AJ Media Services
- Community Enrichment Award: Jacqueline Hayes, Crayons & Marketers
- Corporate Partner of the Year: Becky Bayne, Becky’s Graphic Design
In addition to the awards presented, Allegra Landers was named the 2014 recipient of the Nashville NAWBO President’s Scholarship Award.
Judges for this year’s event was truly representative of the spirit of Music City. They included Grammy nominated song writer Hunter Davis, Nashville based R&B singer and songwriter Etta Britt, stars of TNT’s new reality show “Private Lives of Nashville Wives” Ana Fernandez and Betty Malo, and 2015 Mayoral candidate and current Metro Council Member at Large Megan Barry.
Also serving as a judge was Billie K. Dragoo, Past Chair of NAWBO National and President/CEO of RepuCare.
Dew Tinnin, Partner and Professional Sales Coach for Southwestern Consulting, served as Emcee.
