“While the Nashville branch of AppleOne is a part of the ACT•1 Group, it’s still very entrepreneurial in nature,” says Janet Meek, Branch Manager. With each new client retained and each candidate interviewed and placed, Janet has seen the Nashville branch grow under her tenure. But, Janet is no stranger to business ownership. She co-founded Sales Executives, a recruiting firm specializing in finding top talent. She later when on to start Sales Management Group, a consulting firm assisting small and medium sized businesses with developing their sales initiatives and teams.
Over the years, Janet has championed efforts that brought attention to women owned businesses because she’s walked down that road, tripped over the same rocks, and stood frozen at its forks. But through AppleOne, a company whose senior leadership embraces women business ownership, Janet gladly accepted the opportunity to help Nashville NAWBO make that road just a little bit easier to navigate.
“I’ve seen the benefits a focus on diversity can have on a woman’s confidence. And it feels good to know that I’ve had some part in that,” says Janet.
