This month we celebrate one of our very own. Andrea Farr, owner of Nashville Geek, has been named one of this year’s Forty Under 40, a prestigious honor awarded by the Nashville Business Journal. Created six years ago to highlight some of Nashville’s most outstanding individuals, who not only excel professionally, but also in their service to the community, the Nashville Business Journal will share the achievements of these individuals in print, with features in the upcoming March 14th edition of the Nashville Business Journal, publish individual profiles of each honoree throughout the year, and toast to their successes at an awards luncheon on March 14th at the Lowes Vanderbilt Hotel.
And to Andrea, Board Chair of Communications for the Nashville Chapter of NAWBO, she’s enjoying every moment of this well-deserved honor. Having been a member of NAWBO for almost three years now, she recalls how the support she’s received from the NAWBO membership has given her the tools to help her grow her business, overcome struggles, and re-energize when she’s felt that the wind had left her sails.
“It feels good to know that all of your hard work – the long hours and sacrifices you make – pay off,” says Andrea. And being recognized as a business owner and for her commitment to the Rochelle Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to changing the conversation about persons living with disabilities, where she serves as a Board member, makes it all worth it.
