In this lively session, you’ll learn four specific strategies to improve your negotiation abilities and how to recognize the advantages women have at the negotiation table.
Dr. Susan Williams is a professor of management in The Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business. Her teaching interests include negotiation, decision making, continuous improvement, and strategic thinking.
Dr. Williams is an active public speaker and consultant on topics related to management. Representative clients include Hospital Corporation of America, The United Methodist Church, HealthTrust Purchasing Group, Cracker Barrel, AAA, Disney, Tractor Supply Company, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She served as a judge for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, a Secretary of Commerce appointment. Active in national organizations, Dr. Williams is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Eta Sigma professional honor societies. She is on the ETSU Foundation Board of Directors, the International Storytelling Center Board of Governors, and volunteers her time for a variety of local non-profit organizations. Williams has been associated with the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence in various capacities since its inception in 1993, most recently as a member of the Panel of Judges. At Belmont she not only teaches in the College of Business Administration but also serves its Center for Executive Education as a faculty member and curriculum designer.
In her tenure at Belmont University, Williams has been named Most Inspirational Professor by many Massey Graduate School of Business graduating classes.
